Chore Services Needs your Help

Volunteer Chore Services is a program of Catholic Community Services that is dedicated to serving low-income seniors and adults living with disabilities and help them keep their living independence. Ongoing, one-time, and on-call volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups are available in your neighborhood. There are currently 94 people on the waiting list in the Eastside; some are in peril of losing their homes.

Here are some of the current openings:

  • Help a lively senior who is recovering from knee replacement surgery! Great senior in Bellevue needs your help with light chores for a few months while her knee recovers. If someone doesn't help her with some things 1x week, she will end up doing it herself and could slow her recovery time!
  • A dear middle-aged woman in chronic pain who cannot drive needs someone who can spend 3 hours a month with her at Costco filling Rx and shopping. Someone sensitive and patient and someone who wants to make a true difference for this woman who has been through so much. 3 hours a month can lower her anxiety about how she can get food in the house and her medication. Give her a social outlet to get out of the house and chat! Must love small cute dogs, she has a companionship dog.

An hour a week can make a huge difference in someoneユs life. The times are flexible. Must pass a WSP and provide references. Call Adria at 425-679-0342 or adriab@ccsww.org.
